This authentic French stoneware confit pot hails from the 19th or early 20th century, handcrafted in the Southwest of France with traditional salt-glaze techniques. Originally engineered for preserving duck and goose confitāthe unglazed lower half designed to rest in cool stone larders while fat sealed the contentsāthese vessels represent a piece of culinary history. Today, this jar makes for a striking decorative accent, equally at home displaying seasonal florals or housing kitchen utensils. Each pot is unique and one-of-a-kind.
